When dealing with a Volleyball Tournament Consignment Sale there are some simple things you can do to make your presentation stronger and your sales better.

Here are some hints for a successful volleyball consignment program.

1) Use tables instead of a consession type area.

People like to see the garments close up and check sizes etc. If you create more of a retail type of a feel with your temporary volleyball clothing store people are more likely to feel comfortable and therefore are more likely to buy. Tables also allow people to help themselves which will allow you to help more customers at one time.

Switchvb Makes it Easy Our volleyball consignment boxes are prepacked to make your set up as easy as possible. Each box contains individually folded and bagged volleyball garments in every size and in a breakdown that is appropriate to your customer base. The boxes don’t even need to be unpacked before you start to sell. Just open them up, tape down the flaps of the box and you are ready to sell.

2) Location Location Location

Try to set up near the entry to the building or very close to where the results are being posted. If people don’t know you are there you cannot sell to them. This may seem like common sense but many a consignment sale has gone wrong because they set up there temporary volleyball clothing store in a low traffic area.

3) Display

Show as many items as you can. Use the walls behind your tables and take advantage of the display boards included in each volleyball clothing consignment box. Tape up sample shirts to the wall behind you. Remember to display the larger designs showing so that they are easier to see. Also a lot of the longsleeve volleyball t-shirts have a sleeve print, so make sure when you display them you show the sleeve print.

Switchvb Makes it Easy Included in every box is a display board with instructions printed right on the board. These boards fit into your display boxes and allow you to display a shirt directly behind the folded and bagged shirts in the box. Set up is painless, takes no time at all and dramatically improves the quality of your presentation.

4) Signs

Signs are great and we recommend you place some behind the tournament desk and next to the results if the director will let you. Also put a sign by each of the bathrooms that are likely to be used during the tournament. Signs are easy to make and don’t need to be great to be affective. However, don’t just hang a sign and expect them to make the sales for you. You need to do most if not all of these hints to have a successful tournament.

5) A little bit of cash

People will most likely not have exact change so we recommend you bring some extra one and five dollar bills to make change with. This simple thing will keep you from losing sales to people who may only have a twenty dollar bill.

6) Be willing to take checks

Of course this is your call and you will know your customer types the best but we have found that people purchasing clothing at volleyball tournaments rarely bounce checks. This will increase your sales become some people may want to buy but need to save their cash for lunch etc.

7) Be there before the participants.

It is better to be set up before the participants arrive. This eliminates innumerable problems regarding location and other table issues. Also that first hour in the morning is when half of the people at the tournament have nothing to do because paly has not started yet. This is the perfect time for shopping because the gyms are not hot yet the day is still new and everyone is in a good mood because so far everyone is still a winner.

There are many more things you can do to enhance your volleyball consignment sales but the ones listed above are the biggies.
